Also, I wish that the black and white puzzles were easier to switch between black and X's than having to manually change it each time. On another site you click on a box once for black, twice for an X and three time to go back to blank, so you don't have to move your hand so much.
I like most of the changes but wish 2 things were different: 1) New puzzles don't seem to fully save when solved, even if you hit the save button before returning to the menu. Two I finished are showing they are partially saved even though I finished and saved. 2) I wish there was a way to move on to your next puzzle without having to return to the menu each time. (Unless there is and I'm missing it...?)
I used the feature to spend coins and check errors all the time to start puzzles - I could find the correct squares in a line which had a small number of squares and then work out from there. I have a huge number of solved puzzles saved, but without this feature I will probably not continue.
I wish that you had just changed the interface rather than the options themselves. Like the comment below I also miss the chance to spend coins to check for errors (and think a single coin for rating a puzzle as the sole source of revenue is a bit miserly - having said that, I don't really know what coins are for, anymore).
The only issue I have is that I really liked the search mechanic from the old site, Is it possible that you could implement the same thing here?
Please add somewhere I can see my user statistics. Like how many of each type I have completed, total coins earned, total spent, maybe even total filled squares. Also, various site rankings could be fun. Also, does this post imply there is a forum somewhere? If so, how do we access it?
I find the scrolling on large puzzles to be very unpleasant. The scroll functionality is far too sansititve — I'm unable to scroll to the middle of any puzzle, only to jump to either end of the scroll area. If scrolling has to be controlled by JavaScript and not the native browser, please at least give the option to adjust the scroll speed. Also, pressing shift + scrolling up/down for horizonal scrolling feels very uncomfortable on an Apple track pad, which supports natural left/right scrolling.
Are you going to reinstate the leaderboards?
When I open the puzzles they are not centered on the page, which is minor but frustrating
The new site is more attractive, easier to navigate, and much faster. Thank you! I would like to be able to filter by just size so I can see black & white and colored of a given size in the same list. I also wonder if these are new puzzles or if previous completion progress has been lost from the old site. I thought I already finished all the micro sized puzzles but now I find a lot marked unsolved here.
The line counter has been breaking when I go over already filled in blocks. At its worst it’s been going like [1, 2, 3, 5, 14] or something along those lines (the numbers change depending on the puzzle obviously). It’s about 50/50 if it works or doesn’t work. No, I am not confusing it with the distance to the edge of the puzzle, as I have that turned off. Please check your code for a bug because I think there is one
I was literally in the middle of working on a puzzle when the changes occurred. I had it on my browser tab and going to it between working and other things. I noticed it was not saving when I clicked the button and when I refreshed, it was gone. It would be nice to be able to access my completed and formerly saved puzzles. Other than that minor irritation? I mostly like the new style. I don't see any hints, are there any options to re-instate those? Or are they here still and I just don't see them? The reason I pick this site over the others online is the ability to scroll. If I have to zoom in and scroll, the numbers stay visible and I am VERY glad that is still present. Thank you for keeping it!
It looks like all of my progress was deleted, even though I signed in. Either because there are new puzzles, or it is all just gone, i dont know. But I like the new UI!
I see the solved and saved games easier now. I don't know if I missed it before or if you just added it in, but love it. One minor improvement to these. I would like to see my Solved games to show the thumbnail of the saved completed shape.
Is there a way to save your gameplay settings? Whenever I start a new browser session I have to turn off the "Automatically show errors..." and unpin the left corner.
please add back where it would automatically count how many blocks you put in when doing a line on the field.
new site looks sleeker but seems to be a bit more resource heavy for me.
